Lancashire Women
Why this role matters
Lancashire Women exists to create real, lasting change for women across the region. But change starts with stories. This volunteer role is about helping us capture and share the impact our services make – in the words, images and moments that show what’s really possible when women get the right support.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work alongside the marketing manager to bring Lancashire Women’s work to life across our channels. This includes gathering social media content from our centres (photos, videos, and stories) and drafting posts that reflect what we do and present us professionally.
You’ll also have the opportunity to attend community events with us, representing the charity and talking to people about our work. Beyond social media, you’ll be supporting with content for our website, articles and mailings, and help out with other general marketing tasks as they arise.
What we offer
You’ll have full support from an experienced marketing manager throughout your time with us. This is a genuine opportunity to build your portfolio, develop practical skills in charity communications, and be part of a team doing meaningful work.
All volunteers are required to complete an Enhanced DBS check, which will be fully funded by Lancashire Women.
When we need support
We are currently looking for volunteers who can offer their time on either Mondays or Wednesdays with some flexibility to attend day-time events. These would be planned in advance.
If you enjoy working with people and would like to develop your skills in marketing, communications or journalism, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
