Accrington & District Sea Cadets
Our sea cadet unit is currently looking for knowledgeable and dedicated trustees to support the sustainability and future of the charity. We feel that you may have employees within your company that may want to develop business acumen, local community standing and people management skills.
In this position, you’ll play a crucial role in the smooth running of our Unit. Your responsibilities will include:
* Oversee the financial affairs of the unit and ensure they are legal, constitutional, and within accepted accounting practice.
* Monitor and report on the financial health of the unit at the UMT meetings.
* Ensure proper records are kept.
* Supporting the UMT with their Constitutional and Charity Commission obligations and sustain the longevity of our unit.
* Working with volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
We're working in our local community to give young people access to incredible opportunities and skills that help them to launch well in today's world.

Trustees are expected to attend between six and ten unit management meetings per year, meeting on a weekday evening. This can be remote attendance and most other tasks, emails, correspondence, reports etc can be completed on a casual basis. The average time per week committed to the role is 5 hours per month.
