Shop Assistant

The Shop of Hope

The role would be to assist with:

  • Serving and advising customers 
  • Unpacking and sorting new stock deliveries
  • Arranging goods in displays and on shelves
  • Checking that shelf and price labelling is correct
  • Rotating and replacing stock as directed
  • Promotion of products, as directed
  • Take accurate cash and card payments and give change as necessary
  • Keeping the store and private areas clean ad tidy
  • Taking bulk packaging, like boxes, away for recycling
  • Direct Customers to particular items in the store giving advice on product stories if appropriate
  • Refer customers to directors for returns or refunds
  • Other duties appropriate to the role, as requested/ necessary.

What skills do I need?

Good customer service skills. Friendly and approachable and able to listen to instructions.

The shop is open Monday - Saturday 9.30am - 4.30pm. Any amount of time that you are able to offer in those times would be appreciated.
